Account Deletion

Effective date: May 1, 2026

Cherche users can request deletion of their account and associated personal data from inside the Cherche app or by contacting support.

Delete Your Account In The App

1. Open the Cherche app and sign in.
2. Go to Profile or Settings.
3. Select Delete Account.
4. Follow the confirmation steps shown in the app.

Request Deletion By Email

If you cannot access the app, email grace.opese@gmail.com from the email address connected to your Cherche account and include the subject line: Cherche Account Deletion Request.

Data Deleted

When your account is deleted, Cherche will delete or anonymize account information and user-generated content associated with your account, such as profile data, saved prayers, devotion progress, prayers, testimonies, videos, comments, and uploaded profile media where technically possible.

Data That May Be Retained

Some information may be retained for a limited period when required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, payment, dispute-resolution, or platform-compliance purposes. We do not retain deleted account data longer than necessary for those purposes.

Processing Time

In-app deletion begins immediately after confirmation. Email deletion requests are reviewed and processed within a reasonable period after we verify account ownership.
